Had a great time with Mum, Clare, Austin and Jude over for christmas. We stayed for a while in Papamoa with Andrea’s Uncle John and Auntie Linda, then up to Whangarei with her parents and some time in Auckland where we had a BBQ for christmas dinner at our place with Andrea’s family.
Weather is getting really hot now. Was 40 degrees C the other day in Christchurch.

Sorry I haven’t been in touch that much. Things have been really hectic.
NZ is treating me well. I’ve started my new job and have had my first pay today so at least that is ok. Work has been really difficult so far. Always when you start a new job you tend to feel that you know nothing and that at any point everybody will discover this. I’m starting to settle into it now though.
Andrea and I moved into our new house (well they call it a unit) on Sunday. It is 2 bedrooms with a large living and kitchen space. They don’t come furnished here although this one had a hob, oven and dryer. We have a sofa, bed, fridge and washing machine, all borrowed from a friend of Andrea’s. Our own Futon bed arrives on Friday.
The weather here is … well, actually I just looked at the weather (attached) and its pretty much the same. We’ve been eating out a lot recently. You can go to a chinese / malay / thai restaurant and pay as little as $15 / head.
I have been driving to work every day. Takes me about 35 minutes now and I quite enjoy doing all the driving. I just have to pass the theory test here to get an international license to cut down the insurance costs. Our car is going well. I bought a SatNav to get around but we still have loads of arguments in the car cos Andrea always believes she knows a better way and gets us lost

Andrea is keeping well. She’s just "home-making" at the moment until the house is sorted then she’ll get a job and start pulling her weight . We live just up the road from her brother so its a nice area to be in (link below).

. The new house is in Mt Eden close to Andrea’s brother’s house so we won’t have far to move.
What a gruelling process. Really glad to be here and Andrea is looking fantastic as ever :)Finally. Visa and Flights now sorted. Fly out on the 15th May for a monster of a long flight with a 4 hr stop over in Singapore!
